My Story
Music has always been an integral part of my life. Growing up in New Orleans, I found myself drawn to the power of melody and the emotion that music can convey. From the young age of 5, I knew that my path would be one where I could share my love for music with others.

My journey began with performances in my church choir, where I quickly discovered the joy of connecting with audiences. These early experiences taught me the importance of versatility, prompting me to explore various genres and styles.

It wasn't until my early 20's that I could truly pursue my dream. While performing with a band in Slidell, Louisiana, a serendipitous encounter changed my life. A gentleman offered me a position in a traveling show band called "Clutch". This opportunity allowed me to perform in cities like New York, Cincinnati, Panama City Beach, Orlando, Philadelphia, and many others, gaining invaluable experience and honing my craft along the way. One of the many highlights in working with Clutch, along with working with world class musicians, was the opportunity to record at "America's Abbey Road", Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. Clutch was inducted into the Louisiana Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame in September 2012.

In 1990, I competed in 2 nights of competition at the Alabama State Fair. Grand Prize was an opportunity to audition for the renowned TV talent show, Star Search, hosted by Mr. Ed McMahon. I was lucky enough to have won the competition, and found myself on my way to LA to audition for the show's producer, Mr. Sam Riddle. Although I made the show, due to unfortunate circumstances, I never made it to live TV.

A year later, I got my next performance opportunity with the Hollywood Hi-Tones, an a cappella group that performed in front of Mel's Drive-In at Universal Studios in Orlando. This experience was pivotal in shaping my career In Central Florida and expanding my musical horizons. While working with the Hollywood Hi-Tones, another opportunity crossed my path and I become the full-time vocalist for the group, "Rock N' Soul" at the Orchid Garden at Church Street Station in downtown Orlando. After my time at Church Street Station, I worked with multiple corporate groups such as "Dance Express," also in Orlando and the "Dream Band" in Destin.

After a five-year stint in Las Vegas performing the hotel circuit on the Strip, I returned to Florida in the late 2000s and began performing with other corporate bands in Orlando including "Hot Property" and "Volcano Joe." After running into an old business acquittance who was very active in the Central Florida music scene, I was given the opportunity to begin performing in The Villages (again), where I eventually formed the Clark Barrios Band. Over the years, I have had the privilege of covering a wide range of artists, including Billy Joel, Michael Bublé, Bruno Mars, Andrea Bocelli, Elvis Presley, Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, and, of course, Franki Valli. Each performance has been a unique opportunity for me to connect with audiences and create memorable musical experiences.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been the relationships I've built along the way. Whether it's collaborating with fellow musicians, engaging with fans, or working with event organizers, these connections have enriched my journey and fueled my passion for what I do.

Music is more than just a profession for me — it's a way of life. Every performance is an opportunity to create memories, evoke emotions, and bring people together. I'm grateful for the support and encouragement I've received throughout my career, and I look forward to continuing to share my musical journey with all of you. Thank you for being a part of my story.

For the Love of the Music,
